Mailbox import/export or move fails in Exchange Server 2010

Eğer bir mailbox’ı move veya import/export etmek istediğinizde aşağıdaki hatayı alıyorsanız, Hardware LB ve  CASARRAY’iniz varsa;

“"The call to ‘net.tcp://SERVERNAME/Microsoft.Exchange.MailboxReplicationService SERVERNAME (14.1.218.11 caps:07)’ timed out. Error details: This request operation sent to net.tcp://SERVERNAME/Microsoft.Exchange.MailboxReplicationService did not receive a reply within the configured timeout (00:01:00).  The time allotted to this operation may have been a portion of a longer timeout.  This may be because the service is still processing the operation or because the service was unable to send a reply message.  Please consider increasing the operation timeout (by casting the channel/proxy to IContextChannel and setting the OperationTimeout property) and ensure that the service is able to connect to the client.

Search and Delete messages from mailboxes

Search-mailbox cmdlet can mainly be used for:

  • Copying messages to a another target mailbox
  • Deleting messages from a mailbox
  • Recovering items from a user’s Recoverable Items
  • Deleting items from Recoverable Items

 

To search for a specific emails in the mailbox and to delete them:

First, in order to be able to see and run this cmdlet in the EMS, the user running it should have “Discovery Management” rights. The “Discovery Management” role group bu default doesn’t have any members including administrators. This role group also grants “Mailbox Import Export” RBAC role, and it can also be used to export and/or import emails from/to user mailboxes.

To add your account to this group:

Add-RoleGroupMember “Discovery Management” –Member theadmin

 

Then, for example, to delete all emails that contains “your mailbox is full” in the subject of a user the following cmdlet can be used:

Search-Mailbox -Identity testuser –SearchQuery “Subject:’Your mailbox is full'” `

DeleteContent –Force

The attachment icon does not appear in Outlook 2007/2010 and OWA

 

When you apply this fix i think will resolve your issue…

 

On the HUB servers browse to the your Exchange installation location e.g.

C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\V14\Bin

Edit file EdgeTransport.exe.config using notepad++

At the end of the ‘add key’ list add:

<add key=”TreatInlineDispositionAsAttachment” value=”true” />

Save the file.

Restart the ‘Microsoft Exchange Transport’ service

Repeat the above steps for all HUB servers in your environment

Issue resolved.
